Fat grafting is an excellent procedure to bring lost volume and youthful look to the aging face. This 54-years-old plastic surgery patient from Boca Raton came to our office for consultation about correction of her “tired and sad look”. After detailed clinical evaluation we discussed upper and lower eyelid surgery and fat grafting. She decided to start with fat grafting of the cheeks and around eyes.

Her surgery was done in local anesthesia with mild perioral (per mouth) sedation. Fat grafts harvested from right thigh by means of liposuction were cleaned from blood and detritus and injected into deep and superficial compartments of the cheeks, around eyelids and brows. Her recovery was completed within 2 weeks.

Patient is shown before fat grafting and 6 months after placement of 28 ml. of fat grafts into cheeks, around eyes, brows and temples.
