TUMMY TUCK – ABDOMINOPLASTY

Skin folds sagging like an apron are usually major reason for middle age patient to seek a consultation about tummy tuck. Patients have problem with skin irritation and redness, moisture, clothing, etc. After detailed clinical and general health evaluation of this patient we proposed extensive abdominoplasty with muscle plication and liposuction of abdomen, flanks and back. However, patient decided to have just removal of skin apron which is called panniculectomy.

Surgery was done in our plastic surgery center in Ft. Lauderdale. It included simple removal of redundant skin and fat folds without doing any work on muscles and without moving belly button. Patient was discharged home after surgery. She was back to full activity in 3 weeks.

Patient is shown before simple tummy tuck surgery and 3 months after removal of  skin apron from lower abdomen called panniculectomy.
