TUMMY TUCK – ABDOMINOPLASTY

This patient is a 38-year-old mother of two who came to our Fort Lauderdale plastic surgery office for a consultation regarding a tummy tuck. She also wanted some improvement in the upper portion of inner thighs.

After a detailed evaluation and consultation, we decided to proceed with abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) and partial inner thighs reshaping with liposuction. Preoperative medical evaluation and clearance for surgery was provided by patient’s family physician.

Patient had her surgery done in our AAAA certified office based plastic surgery center. An extensive abdominoplasty which involved not only removal of extra skin but also removal of appropriate amount of fat from abdomen and flanks was done in general anesthesia. A moderate amount of fat was removed from her upper inner thighs to improve sagginess of that area. Patient was discharged home 1.5 hours after procedure was completed and patient was fully recovered from anesthesia.
