EYELID PTOSIS REPAIR CASE #224

A 35-years-old cosmetic surgery patient from Miami area came to us for evaluation of asymmetry of right and left upper eyelids. This condition developed gradually in the course of 3-5 years.

After clinical evaluation in our Fort Lauderdale plastic surgery office we concluded that she has condition known as droopy eyelid or eyelid ptosis. Afterwards we discussed surgical correction of this deformity.

Surgery was done in twilight anesthesia in our office based plastic surgery center. Twilight anesthesia allowed us to sit patient up in the course of surgery as many times as needed and check position of the eyelids to create symmetry between left and right side. Patient was discharged home after surgery.

Image on the left demonstrate right eyelid droopiness before surgery while image on the right demonstrate improvement achieved after eyelid ptosis correction.
