BLEPHAROPLASTY – EYELID SURGERY
A 52-year-old Fort Lauderdale cosmetic surgery patient came to us for consultation regarding eyelid surgery. She wanted to improve appearance of bulky and droopy eyelids.
After detailed clinical evaluation of eyelids appearance and function we discussed upper and lower eyelid surgery and brow lift. Patient decided to have upper and lower blepharoplasty without endoscopic browlift.
Surgery was done in local anesthesia in our office based plastic surgery center in Fort Lauderdale. She was released home 30 minutes after surgery was completed. Her postoperative recovery was excellent.
On the left image patient is shown before upper and lower eyelid surgery; on the right she is shown 6 months after upper and lower blepharoplasty. There is no doubt that additional brow lifting would have improved overall result. Patient is still considering endoscopic brow lift. In the meantime we are using Botox.
