UPPER AND LOWER BLEPHAROPLASTY
A 48 years old Palm Beach plastic surgery patient came to our cosmetic surgery center in Fort Lauderdale requesting rejuvenation of upper eyelids. She always had a full and prominent upper eyelids and brows which was considered attractive by most of her friends. However, few years ago she noticed a heavy skin fold and droopiness of eyelids which she considers unattractive. It gives her “a tired angry look” (left).
In our office based AAAA Certified Surgery Center under local anesthesia we performed upper blepharoplasty removing a moderate amount of upper eyelid skin to “open her eyes”. We have removed only skin preserving muscle and fat tissue in the upper eyelid to maintain the fullness of patient upper eyelids which she always liked. We have also performed lower eyelid intermediate TCA chemical peel to improve skin tone and wrinkling (right).
Before upper eyelid surgery (upper blepharoplasty) left: 1 year after upper eyelid surgery and chemical peel of the lower eyelid right. Notice youthful fullness of the upper eyelids and improvement of lower eyelid tone and wrinkles after chemical peel.
