RHINOPLASTY – NOSE SURGERY
This 46 year old Boca Raton plastic surgery patient presented in our plastic surgery office in Fort Lauderdale for consultation regarding improvement of his nose and weak chin. He was well-informed about all aspects of nose surgery, but he needed additional information about chin and jaw augmentation with implant. He wanted both procedures done at the same time.
Clinical analysis of facial bone and soft tissue features demonstrated a strong, narrow and prominent nose and small lower jaw and chin left. We discussed nose shaping surgery as well as a correction of nasal passages to improve breathing. We also discussed chin augmentation with implant to improve his profile and facial balance.
Nose surgery was performed in general anesthesia delivered by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist in our AAAA Certified Surgery Center. It consisted of open external rhinoplasty (nose shaping surgery), correction of deviated septum and placement of small chin implant. Chin implant was placed through a small incision inside the lower lip.
Patient is shown before nose surgery (left) and 1 year after rhinoplasty and septoplasty (right).
