NECK LIFT – NECK LIPOSUCTION

A 50-year-old Boca Raton cosmetic surgery patient presented in our office requesting improvement of his neck. He is very active and athletic and he thinks that his neck makes him look older. He did not want a major surgery like neck and face lift at this time but was open to something less invasive with shorter recovery time.

Our clinical evaluation demonstrated that his neck deformity is due to fat deposits in his neck (neck lipodystrophy) associated with neck muscles laxity which creates a band in the front portion of the neck (left).  We suggested a treatment which will include neck lipectomy (neck liposuction) to remove redundant fat and shape the neck and the jaws. Additionally we will tighten neck muscles by means of an anterior neck lift to correct neck muscles and skin laxity.

A small incision was made underneath his chin to open the neck and reshape and lift neck muscles. Using two additional small 1 cm incisions bellow his earlobes to remove fat by means of liposuction we were able to create significant improvement in the appearance of his neck. One can appreciate well defined angle between chin and neck, jaw line is well defined which gives him youthful and masculine appearance.
