NECK LIPOSUCTION – LIPCETOMY

A 45-year-old cosmetic surgery patient from Boca Raton presented in our cosmetic surgery office in Fort Lauderdale requesting improvement of her neck. She was not ready for any major surgery like face and neck lift but was open to a less invasive surgery.

On clinical evaluation she demonstrated moderate amount of fat underneath her shin and anterior neck and along the jawline. She had a good skin tone and no evidence of muscle bands in the anterior neck (left). We discussed suction assisted lipectomy of the neck using small cannula to remove and shape redundant fat.

In local anesthesia using 3 small incisions placed underneath the chin and earlobes we have removed approximately 20 cc of fat tissue from front and sides of the neck and along the jaw line. Recovery associate with minimal bruising and swelling lasted 10 days. She was back to work 7 days after surgery.
