FACIAL FAT GRAFTS

This patient underwent multiple facial rejuvenation procedures including face and neck lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty and fat grafting. In this series of images we wanted to demonstrate beneficial effect of fat grafting to multiple areas of the face to replace  lost volume. An integral part of facial aging is a loss of facial volume, mostly fat and consequent “deflation” of the face. This is in particular visible around eyes and mouth.

Preoperative images of the patient on the left demonstrate volume loss in the cheeks and around the mouth and accumulation of fat over jawline and neck. Aggressive removal of fat tissue from the neck and around jawline is done as a part of face and neck surgery to create clean, well defined neck and jaw lines. A fat grafting of the cheeks, around eyes lips, and along the lower jaw was done to augment these areas and create full, high cheeks, fuller, shorter lips and emphasize jawline as a border between face and neck.
