FACIAL, CHEEK IMPLANTS – FACIAL, CHIN IMPLANTS

A 40-year-old Fort Lauderdale plastic surgery patient had multiple surgical procedures done since his early age for treatment of cleft lip and a nose deformity. He had an excellent result after multiple surgeries performed by a master of cleft lip surgery, Dr. Millard. He came to our office for a consultation regarding the augmentation of his cheeks, replacement of an old chin implant, and revision of his nose.

A clinical evaluation demonstrated the typical signs of a developmental problem related to severe bilateral cleft lip due to underdeveloped cheekbones and midface. We discussed an augmentation of cheeks with cheek implants, correction of nose deformity, and the replacement of small chin implant with a larger one.

Surgery was done under general anesthesia. The procedure included a cheek enlargement with silicone implants, revision of the nose to correct mostly tip of the nose deformity and nostril asymmetry, and replacement of old, small chin implant.
