This 50-year-old patient from Switzerland came to our Fort Lauderdale cosmetic surgery center for consultation about correction of forehead deformity (forehead bulge). She has noticed this deformity in her early twenties and thinks that it is getting worse. After detailed clinical evaluation and evaluation of her x-rays we concluded that patient has enlarged frontal (forehead) sinuses (forehead bossing). It is possible in many cases to completely correct this deformity by shaping the forehead bones without braking into sinus. In more advanced cases a more complex correction of the frontal sinus may be needed.
Surgery was performed in our Fort Lauderdale based plastic surgery clinic. it involved shaping (shaving) of the bone prominence with a diamante burr. This was done using a small 4″ incision hidden in the hair.
Patient is shown before forehead shaping surgery and 3 months after surgical correction of forehead bulge (bossing.
