BREAST AUGMENTATION CASE 255

A 43-year-old Brazilian patient came to our Fort Lauderdale cosmetic surgery practice requesting breast augmentation. After detailed clinical evaluation we proposed breast augmentation with a lift. However, patient did not want additional scars on her breast (a lollypop scar) and we decided to proceed with breast enlargement with implants without lift. She wanted to be one cup size larger.

Surgery was done in general anesthesia in our plastic surgery center in Ft. Lauderdale; 325 ml. round, smooth silicone gel implants were placed underneath the muscles using incision placed in the lower pole of areola. Her recovery after breast augmentation was practically painless due to series of nerve block applied before the end of surgery. She was back to work in 4-5 days.
