RHINOPLASTY

A 25-year-old woman was looking for a rhinoplasty in Fort Lauderdale to correct a nasal deformity and nose obstruction (staffed nose). She was also considering a chin augmentation with an implant.  Our clinical evaluation showed that besides a large nose, the patient also had difficulties with breathing due to severe septal deviation and nasal obstruction. She also had small chins which, from a side view, made her nose appear even larger.   Her “nose job” included correction of nose deformity (rhinoplasty), correction of deviated septum and nasal obstruction (septoplasty with turbinectomy) and chin augmentation with silicone implant.  This complex facial procedure was performed in our Fort Lauderdale Plastic Surgery AAAA Certified Surgery Center. Her nose surgery was done under general anesthesia provided by a Board Certified Anesthesiologist.

Patient’s profile postoperative photos demonstrate that nose surgery (rhinoplasty) corrected nose hump and rotated nose tip slightly upwards; nose tip became the most prominent point of nose profile which is desired aesthetic feature. Gentle curve from nose tip to the forehead is another feature of aesthetically pleasing nose. The chin augmentation with implant has improved balance of the lower face and neck on the profile view as if patient had a neck lift or neck lipectomy.  Combination of nose surgery and chin enhancement created balance and harmony of the entire face.
