BREAST LIFT WITH LIPOSUCTION

This Boca Raton plastic surgery patient presented to our office requesting a breast lift. Her bra size was 38DD. She wanted to be small D to full C cup size.

On clinical presentation she demonstrated large, soft, sagging breasts with nipples located bellow breast creases on both breasts (severe breast ptosis). She also had a moderate accumulation of fat on her upper body, both abdomen and chest (lipodystrophy of abdomen and chest/torso). We discussed breast lift and liposuction of abdomen, chest and back.

After medical clearance by her family physician we scheduled and performed her cosmetic surgery in our office. First aggressive liposuction of abdomen, flanks, back and chest was done. Breast lift followed; it included removal of significant amount of breast skin, shaping and lifting of breast tissue and nipple-areola complex. No breast tissue was removed.

On the left patient is shown before body contouring surgery; notice droopy, heavy looking breasts and fullness of the abdomen, flanks, and upper breast/armpit folds. Preoperative markings demonstrate amount of skin to be removed and a new position of areola/nipples.

Images on the right show patient 10 months after surgery. She underwent extensive surgery which involved body by means of liposuction and breast lift. Notice improvement in the breast size, shape, position of areolas. No other tissue except skin was removed from the breasts. A significant improvement in upper body shape was achieved with liposuction (suction lipectomy) of abdomen, flanks, back and chest around breasts. As a rule when breast lift only is performed (without removal of breast tissue) patient will and up one bra cup size smaller. Frequently an excellent breast surgery result will not be appreciated if surrounding areas of the body
