FACIAL FATGRAFT
A 38-year-old patient of Indian ancestry was concerned mostly because of dark discoloration of lower eyelid skin and groove deep groove between lower eyelid and cheek. She also wanted improvement of cheek/lip folds (nasolabial folds).
On consultation in our cosmetic surgery center in Fort Lauderdale we suggested treatment with fat grafts. This will bring some volume and roundness to her cheeks and around the eyes and may also improve dark circles around her eyes.
Her surgery was done in local anesthesia and involved harvest of fat grafts from outer thigh, preparation of fat grafts to separate healthy fat cells from blood, injected fluids and damaged cells/tissue and injection of purified fat grafts into designated areas of by means of small 1mm cannula.
Before fat grafting of cheeks, nasolabial folds and around the brows (left) and 5 months after injection of fat grafts into multiple areas of the face/ cheeks and around the eyes (right). Notice “a bleaching effect” of skin grafts on dark circles around eyes, fullness of brows that give impression of brow lift as well as smoother naso-labial and naso-jugal grooves (grooves separating cheeks from lower eyelid and lips).
