LIP ENHANCEMENT

A 53-years-old Miami cosmetic surgery patient complained about “sad looking lips” and deep creases around the lips.

Pre-operative evaluation in our plastic surgery center in Fort Lauderdale demonstrated down-turned lip corners which produce worried and tired look, deep creases extending from lip corners down towards the chin (marionette lines) and deep creases-folds above the upper lip (nasolabial folds) (left).

Surgery was done in our office surgery center in local anesthesia. It included excision (removal) of skin around the lip corners which elevated lip corners in horizontal and slightly up-word direction  and eliminated  marionette lines. Scar is placed along the border of the upper lip. In addition to lip corners lift a small amount of fat grafts was placed into “marionette lines”, nasolabial folds and into the lip muscles (right).
