This 66-year-old patient from Fort Lauderdale had her first face lift done 8 years ago. She had 2 episodes of fat grafting 2-3 years apart in the meantime. This time she wanted a correction of her jaw line, which was getting fuller in her opinion and correction of neck bands.
After a detailed analysis of how her face has changed since her first surgery, despite excellent maintenance, she had in the course of these 8 years (chemical peel, facial fillers, Botox, fat grafting), we concluded that secondary face and neck lift would be beneficial.
Surgery was done using general anesthesia in our office based plastic surgery center in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. The patient was discharged home after surgery. She was back to work in 3 weeks.
Patient is shown before her second face and neck lift and 8 months after secondary face and neck lifting with SMAS plication. Notice improvement in her lower jaw contour and anterior neck.
