BLEPHAROPLASTY – EYELID SURGERY

A 52-year-old cosmetic patient from Boca Raton presents to our Fort Lauderdale cosmetic surgery center for a consult regarding upper eyelid surgery. She wants an improvement but she doesn’t want to have “an operated look”.

Clinical evaluation confirmed a moderate upper eyelid folds (blepharochalasia) and a mild loss of fat tissue over outside aspect of brows typical for age. We discussed upper blepharoplasty and a small amount of fat grafts in the eyebrows to create youthful fullness.

Her surgery was done in our office surgery center in Ft. Lauderdale in local anesthesia with a mild perioral sedation. It included removal of extra skin and minimal amount of fat and muscle from upper eyelids and injection of fat grafts (1-1.5 ml per side) to outer and inner aspect of brows.

Notice fullness of her eyebrows that look as if she had a brow lift. Patient is 6 months after upper blepharoplasty and very satisfied with her “un-operated look”.
