FACIAL, JAW IMPLANTS 243

This patient had a chin implant in her early twenties. Now, in her early forties, she wanted some improvement and facial rejuvenation which will not include face and neck lift.

After detailed analysis of her facial bone structure and soft tissue features we concluded that she has weak, under-developed bones in middle and lower third of the face. Patients with small facial structures have a tendency to age faster than those with normal facial bones. For that reason we suggested facial bones augmentation with multiple facial implants. This will allow us to correct size discrepancy and expand facial soft tissues creating full, oval shaped, youthful face.

In general anesthesia supervised by board certified anesthesiologist patient underwent replacement of chin implant with a larger one, placement of jaw implant to augment lower jaw and jaw angle and placement of cheek implants to enlarge small cheek bones. She also had a conservative liposuction of the neck and jowls.

Patient is shown before multiple facial implants augmentation on the left; on the right she is shown 1 year after augmentation of lower jaw, chin and cheeks. Notice well defined jaw line that separates neck from face after augmentation of lower jaw with chin and jaw implants and liposuction of neck.
