FACE LIFT AND NECK LIFT
A 56-year-old Fort Lauderdale cosmetic surgery patient wanted complete facial rejuvenation. She was particularly dissatisfied with her heavy, saggy neck, which was a family trait.
After a thorough evaluation, we discussed multiple facial procedures including face and neck lift, upper and lower eyelid surgery and chemical peel. Patient decided to have facial rejuvenation surgery done in stages.
Her first surgery was neck and face lift which was done in our office surgery center. It involved tightening of the neck muscles and neck skin and lift of lower and mid face. This was achieved in two layers; deep muscles and fascia of the face and neck (SMAS) were pulled up and back; extra skin was then removed in front and behind the ears.
Before facial rejuvenation (left) and 1.5 years after face and neck lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty and chemical TCA peel (right). Notice changes in her neck, jawline and higher cheeks as a result of facial and neck lifting visible on profile and ¾ views. Face lift scar in front and behind the ear is barely visible once it is completely matured.
