LOWER BODY LIFT
A 39-year-old Miami plastic surgery patient came to our office for body contouring surgery. Six months before she had liposuction of abdomen and flanks but she was not happy with her heavy and droopy thighs and buttocks.
After clinical evaluation in our Fort Lauderdale cosmetic surgery center we discussed a lower body lift. This procedure would include excision (removal) of skin all around her middle body (abdomen, hips and lower back) in order to tighten the lower body skin, and lift thighs and buttocks. It would also include removal of the excess fat by means of liposuction to additionally contour the lower body after lift was completed.
Her surgery was performed in hospital in general anesthesia. It included circumferential body lift with liposuction. A minimal amount of skin was removed from her otherwise tight abdomen but much more skin was removed from the sides (thighs and hips) and back to achieve desired lift.
Patient is shown before body lift surgery (left) and 1 year after lower body lift and body contouring with liposuction (right). Patient lost 25 lbs. after her surgery what significantly contributed to overall result.
A back view of the same patient before body contouring surgery (left) and 1 year after body lift and liposuction (right). One can appreciate significant lift and contours of the buttocks and improvement in the appearance of the upper thighs. A scar is well hidden with the type of underwear that patient wears.
