This patient wanted his entire life to have stronger, masculine calves. Despite hundreds of hours in gym he was unable to provide much of an improvement. Finally, he decided to seek advice of an experienced plastic surgeon regarding calf augmentation and shaping. After thorough evaluation and discussion about other options, calf implants were found to be the best solution to achieve his goal. Surgery was done during general anesthesia, implants were placed on top of the medial gastrocnemius muscles and underneath muscle fascia; patient was allowed to ambulate the same day.
