Breast augmentation, or augmentation mammoplasty, is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures performed today. Women who are dissatisfied with the size of their breasts or who have experienced unwanted changes in breast appearance can achieve larger, fuller, shapelier breasts with breast augmentation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Zoran Potparic provides exceptional results and a concierge level of service.
Breast augmentation can increase or balance breast size, restore breast volume, or restore the breast shape after partial or total loss. Over time, such factors as age, genetics, and pregnancy may lead to the desire for a breast lift, but augmentation is most usually performed on younger women with small breasts. Weight changes and gravity can cause the size and shape of your breasts to change. It is important to realize that breast augmentation cannot correct significantly sagging or drooping breasts. In these instances, a breast lift is often necessary, and such a procedure may be performed in conjunction with an augmentation.
Dr. Potparic is happy to help with breast augmentation in Fort Lauderdale. For a free consultation, please call (954) 779-2777 or contact us online.

All breast implants consist of a shell or outer covering made of silicone elastomer that is filled with either silicone gel or saline.
Breast implants are measured in cubic centimeters, not in cup sizes. This is because the size of the implant used depends on the size and shape of an individual woman's chest.
The volume comes from the fluid inside the sac:
Saline implants: These implants are filled with a sterile saltwater solution similar to the fluid that makes up most of the human body. Saline implants have a slightly firmer feel than gel. They are approved for women at least 18 years old looking for breast augmentation, and for breast reconstruction in women of any age.
Silicone gel breast implants: Silicone gel implants are more elastic and so feel more like natural breast tissue. They are approved for women at least 22 years old looking for breast augmentation, and for breast reconstruction in women of any age.
Dr. Potparic will discuss the options with you at length so you can be sure you are making an informed choice to help you achieve the end results you are looking for. Each woman is different and has her own, unique body type, health history, and ultimate goals, so honest communication is vital to choosing the proper size and type of implant, whether saline or silicone gel.
Considerations include your own skin elasticity, your breast anatomy and shape, and your body type.
Dr. Zoran PotparicDr. Zoran Potparic is a board-certified plastic surgeon who has helped many plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery patients correct deformities and achieve desired results in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami area.
There are three common incision sites when it comes to breast augmentation surgery: around the nipple/areola (periareolar), within the breast fold (inframammary), and under the arm (axillary). Each of these areas subtly hides the minimal scarring.
Each of these sites also has its unique benefits. Dr. Potparic can walk patients coming in for breast augmentation at his Fort Lauderdale office through details for each to determine which is best, depending on the desired outcome and your body type.
The implant itself can be placed partially under the muscle (sub-muscular) or on top of the muscle and under the breast gland (sub-glandular). Again, since no two women are the same, Dr. Potparic will recommend the approach best suited to your body type and goals.
Since this procedure takes only a few hours, you will be able to see the results right away, as will those around you.
Dr. Zoran Potparic offers free consultations and welcomes patients interested in a quality breast augmentation in Fort Lauderdale to ask him about the procedure and what might be right for them.
